Dr. Schmidt received a BA in Zoology at The University of Texas at Austin and a DDS at the UT Health Science Center in Houston. He then completed a two year mini residency in general dentistry with the U.S. Air Force. The program included additional training in prosthodontics, oral surgery, endodontics, and periodontics. Dr. Schmidt also served as an associate professor in restorative dentistry at the University of Texas Health Science Center. Dr. Schmidt opened his private practice in 1975, and he has been serving the Fredericksburg, Mason, Kerrville, and surrounding areas with comprehensive dental care ever since.
Dr. Schmidt’s professional memberships include the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, and the Heart of Texas District Dental Society.
Dr. Schmidt and his wife Linda have been married for 40 years. Our entire team enjoys the close-knit work atmosphere that Dr. Schmidt and Linda have created.
Dr. Lindsay joined the Fredericksburg Dentistry family in 2008. He received a BS in Chemical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and an MS in Chemical Engineering from The California Institute of Technology. He then attended the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where he earned his DDS degree. Dr. Lindsay graduated valedictorian of his class and received awards in clinical dentistry, general dentistry, esthetic dentistry, endodontics, oral pathology, and implantology. Dr. Lindsay received additional training at the Dental Emergency Clinic at the University of Texas Health Science Center. In addition, he has over 300 hours of continuing education in the field of dental implants.
Dr. Lindsay holds membership with the following dental organizations: American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Heart of Texas District Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, American Association of Endodontists, Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity, and Omicron Kappa Upsilon Fraternity.
Dr. Lindsay and his wife, Amy, have been married over 20 years and have two children. They are all active members in the Fredericksburg community.
Dr. Gretchen Lochte was born and raised in Fredericksburg, TX. She received a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and a minor in chemistry and biology from Texas Tech University and a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Texas A&M College of Dentistry. Upon graduation, Dr. Lochte received an excellence award in the area of Service & Leadership from Texas A&M College of Dentistry. Dr. Lochte is excited to join the dental practice she grew up going to and the opportunity to work alongside a mentor, Dr. Lindsay, who initially inspired her passion to purse dentistry.
Dr. Lochte’s professional memberships include the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association and the Heart of Texas District Dental Society. Dr. Lochte and her fiancé, Trent Smith are excited to get married in February. They are looking forward to getting involved in the community.
